Abigail Brown Joins the WLW Team as Executive Assistant

July 16, 2021

Up-and-coming author, Abigail Brown, has been selected as the newest member of the Weird Little Worlds Press team, filling the position of Executive Assistant. Abigail, another Utah local, will be acting as the main administrative support for Mike Cluff and Willow Becker, helping to do a number of crucial tasks to ensure that the company is fulfilling orders and making progress towards its long-term publishing goals.

Abigail is a contemporary YA author, with stories featuring LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent teens. She began working with the Weird Team as a part-time reader for Humans are the Problem: A Monster’s Anthology. After helping manage the hundreds of submissions for the project and supporting a number of executive-level projects, she was tapped to be the official Executive Assistant for the leadership team.

“I’m really excited to be a part of the Weird Team,” Abigail says. “It has been really fun reading all of these stories and helping out with the anthology. I can’t wait to see what we’re going to do next.”

In addition to being the Executive Assistant, Abigail will be starting her college degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing at Utah State University in the fall. Her work at WLW Press is an opportunity for her to see the inner workings of the publishing business as a support for her future career as a full-time author.

“We’re happy to have her here,” says Willow Becker, CEO. “Abigail is the kind of sharp, capable, talented, and purpose-driven person that we are always looking for. There is definitely a place for her here.”

Abigail will be the main support for both Mike and Willow, and will play a major role in the printing and fulfillment of the inaugural WLW Press anthology Humans are the Problem: A Monster’s Anthology
