Meet the Band: Sherrilyn Kenyon

May 15, 2023

Weird Little Worlds is excited to share the most recent featured author for Playlist of the Damned, #1 New York Times and international bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon. As a recipient of the Prism Award, the Darrell Award, and the Golden Quill, she is a welcome addition to the elite group of writers that form the backbone of this fully-funded Kickstarter horror anthology which include horror legends such as Lisa Morton, Philip Fracassi, Gemma Files, and Tim Waggoner.

Although Sherrilyn has been writing novels since the 1990’s, her roots are in horror, science fiction, and the paranormal. She was a writer for the Science Fiction magazine, Cutting Edge before selling her Dark Hunter sequence to St. Martin’s Press in 1999. Since then, she has placed more than 80 novels on the New York Times list in all formats and genres, including manga and graphic novels, and has more than 70 million books in print worldwide. Her curre—nt series include: Dark-Hunters®, Chronicles of Nick®, Deadman’s Cross™, Eve of Destruction™, Nevermore™, Lords of Avalon®, and The League®.

Over the years, her Lords of Avalon® novels have been adapted by Marvel, and her Dark-Hunters® and Chronicles of Nick® are New York Times bestselling manga and comics and are #1 bestselling adult coloring books.

In addition to being an exceptional writer, Sherrilyn has overcome extreme personal hurdles to become an internationally-recognized author. Rising from extreme poverty as a child in Georgia, Sherrilyn fought through homelessness and financial instability by turning to fiction as both a means of therapy and financial necessity. From this rocky start, she has become one of the most popular and influential authors in the world (in both adult and YA fiction), with dedicated legions of fans known as Paladins—thousands of whom proudly sport tattoos from her numerous genre-defying series.

Weird Little Worlds is proud to bring Sherrilyn onboard as one of the featured writers of Playlist of the Damned.
