Talking Horror on Scream Kings Podcast

April 30, 2021

Willow and Mike have continued to shamelessly plug Weird Little World’s premier Kickstarter campaign, Humans Are The Problem: A Monster’s Anthology across any outlet they can get a hold of. This time, Willow stealthily tracked down Nathaniel over at Scream Kings podcast. And by “tracked down”, we mean she hunted him down, ruthlessly. Nathaniel didn’t stand a chance against Willow.

Scream Kings podcast logoOriginally, we (Willow and Mike) were supposed to go on the podcast and discuss the 80s movie, The Watcher in the Woods, but we all got a little carried away in talking about horror and how it has impacted us.

Some of the highlights from the podcast episode are:

  • Mike’s family loves him so much that they gave him nightmares (all out of good intentions, of course)
  • Willow started watching horror movies at way too young of an age (wasn’t her fault, but we feel she’s coped well since)
  • Mike recommends The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey as one of his favorite horror books
  • Willow loves the movie The Descent because it scares her and it is women-centric horror
  • Both Willow and Mike have no problem with fooling people into thinking Humans Are The Problem is a nice, sweet book (based on its cover)

We talked horror for an hour and had no room to dive into any one specific story like we were supposed to. Because of that, Nathaniel agreed to have us back on the podcast soon so we can really get into The Watcher in the Woods.
