Whew. You ever have one of those days that feels like YOU JUST ATE A DONUT MADE OF INFINITE JOY?
Yeah. That happened to us yesterday.
Within 2 HOURS of opening the Humans are the Problem: A Monster’s Anthology Kickstarter, we already had double-digit backers and over 10% of our funding goal. Now, we are at nearly 80% funded and we still have nearly a month left on this Kickstarter to reach our big-ticket goals. That’s like if you ordered a pizza and ate all of it but three slices.
That’s a lot of delicious monster horror pizza. But don’t ask what’s inside the pepperoni.
The Kickstarter also featured some awesome live kickoff videos with me and Mike and some unnecessary (but fun) headbanging.
We are very excited about being so close to fully funded. Working with our cast of Monster Advocates has been a dream come true, and our artist, Mahesh Hirugade, is on tap to develop some of the most gorgeous artwork you can imagine—once we hit our goal of $8k. Our Monster Squad includes:
- Philip Fracassi
- Lisa Morton
- Michaelbrent Collings
- Sarah Read
- L.H. Moore
- John Langan
- J.H. Moncrieff
- Gabino Iglesias
- T.J. Tranchell
…with room in the budget for 10 MORE AUTHORS (and maybe one or two surprise guests).
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be showcasing each of these authors with interviews and live videos. You’ll get to ask your questions: What really makes a horror writer go into horror? What is your favorite authors’ favorite monster? What is their weirdest nightmare involving something edible? Stick around and find out.
For now, keep on sharing, liking, and reposting. You can also join the Humans are the Problem: A Monster’s Anthology Facebook group, where we have a contest running for one lucky winner to get a FREE copy (hardcover when the stretch goal is unlocked) signed by every featured author.
