This week Weird Little Worlds is welcoming poet Maxwell I. Gold to the Weird family. Maxwell is contributing a new poem to our PLAYLIST OF THE DAMNED anthology and we’re so excited for you to experience it!
Maxwell I. Gold is a Jewish American multiple award-nominated author. He writes prose, poetry, and short stories in weird and cosmic fiction. Maxwell has always had a passion for storytelling. Growing up he loved literary fiction and fantasy (Robert Louis Stevenson, Dante, Victor Hugo). His exposure to weird horror and cosmic fiction didn’t come until his post-graduate years. He found a comfortable home in poetry when he discovered he often enjoyed creating terrifying moments more than writing longer pieces of fiction.
His work has appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines including Weirdbook Magazine, Space and Time Magazine, Startling Stories, Strange Horizons, Tales from OmniPark Anthology, Shadow Atlas: Dark Landscapes of the Americas, and more. He’s the author of Oblivion in Flux: A Collection of Cyber Prose from Crystal Lake Publishing.
Maxwell’s forthcoming books include Bleeding Rainbows and Other Broken Spectrums from Hex Publishers and an Other Mythology prose poetry chapbook from Interstellar Flight Press both to be released in 2023.
He lives in Ohio with his partner and two dogs Marshall and Otto, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Horror Writers Association as the organization’s Treasurer. Maxwell also enjoys watching too many shows on Netflix or reading and playing the piano.
